5.Lamborghini Reventon

Firstly, this is ultra rare with only 20 of these cars in the world, among them, one is kept in a museum in Italy. The Lamborghini Reventon has at least two special features. The first one is its uniqueness - rest assured, the sports car of similar design will not be found anywhere in the world. The second feature is its individuality - every owner’s name is laced on the instrument panel of each vehicle. Be prepared to save your pennies though as the Lamborghini Reventon costs a cool £1.5m (if you can even find one)!

4.McLaren F1

The McLaren F1 is a sports car designed and manufactured by McLaren. In 1994, the McLaren F1 was the best, the fastest and most expensive car in the world. Can you imagine, that 15 years ago it already had a revolutionary speed of 240 mph and reached 60 mph in only 3.2 seconds! The car features numerous proprietary designs and technologies. It is lighter and has a more streamlined structure than many contemporary designed sports cars of today and even had a gold embossed engine!

3.Aston Martin One-77

The most favourite brand of cars for James Bond indeed can certainly be listed as one of the coolest cars in the world. With film star good looks and an epic engine that produces 750 horsepower per tonne, it accelerates with break-neck velocity whilst being admired by every other road user for its endless grace. This gentleman’s hyper car is many things - unfortunately cheap is not one of them!  Expect to part with well in excess of £1m to join this exclusive club of Aston Martin ownership.

2.Ferrari LaFerrari

The official car of Ferrari’s 70th year is the LaFerrari Aperta, an open-top hypercar with a single purpose: to remind the world that nobody does automotive hedonism better than Enzo’s team at Maranello. Offering up 950bhp from the collusion of a stunning 6.2 litre V12 in addition to the KERS hybrid system, it’s utterly captivating stuff and Ferrari intuitively knows that you want absolutely everything, and in forensic detail – and the LaFerrari is that kind of a car. Prices for this Italian masterpiece are naturally high at in excess of £2m.

1. Bugatti Chiron

Modestly billed by Bugatti as “the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and most exclusive production sports car” it’s perhaps best to start with the Top Trumps facts. Costing over £2m, and (limited) to 261mph in VMAX mode, or (only) 236mph in shopping mode, this really is a car that personifies the word ‘HYPER’. The engine is a highly evolved version of the Veyron’s 8.0-litre, quad-turbo W16 that now develops a jaw-dropping 1,479bhp and 1,600Nm of torque. Production will also be very scarce with only 500 cars to be built in total.
